Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using my service. By enrolling in any of my classes, requesting my consultation on any matter, or otherwise requesting and/or using any of my services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

About the service
I offer individual consultations, courses and Yoga classes and workshops.
Ayurveda: I graduated as an Ayurvedic Wellness Counsellor from Kerala Ayurveda Academy in 2020.
Yoga: I finished Absolute Yoga 200 RYS teacher training from Absolute Yoga in Thailand in 2012. I also finished Hot Vinyasa teacher training levels II & III from The Barkan Method in 2014.
I am not a licensed healthcare worker. The Republic of Iceland does not license Ayurveda services or yoga. Ayurveda is a natural system of medicine or an alternative medicine system.
Prices for my services are VAT inclusive. [LSL1]

You acknowledge that the information on the website and given in individual consultations and other courses is provided to the best of my knowledge and in good faith, under Yoga and Ayurveda theories and practices. However, I am not a licensed healthcare worker and do not promise or guarantee any physical or mental health improvements or changes. My services and the information I give are not intended or implied to serve as medical or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. I recommend that you consult a doctor before using my service. If you have or suspect a health or medical problem, you should consult your doctor or therapist. The programs are not psychotherapy or curative treatment and are not intended to replace them.
Before individual consultation, I must be informed about all health issues, problems, impairments, illnesses, discomforts, allergies, and intolerances so I can protect you from damage as best as possible. You are always responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is correct and to the best of your knowledge. You are also responsible for keeping the information up to date.
You are responsible for your health and safety at all times and are urged to practice caution while partaking in any of my events and individual consultations. It is your responsibility to inform me of any injury, illness, or conditions that may impact your ability to partake in any of my classes.
When you use any of my services, you acknowledge and agree that not all the benefits provided by Ayurvedic procedures and treatments are clinically proven.
General Terms
You must be of legal consenting age to use any of my services. The legal age in Iceland is 18.
By requesting, ordering, or enrolling in any of my services, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Applicable fees will be invoiced starting the day your services are established and in advance of using them.
After enrolling in one of my classes, you may participate only after you have paid the applicable fees. After payment, you will receive confirmation from me that a place has been booked for you in the class.
We reserve the right to reject any application.
By participating in my events, you agree to abide by the general rules of conduct, including showing everyone in attendance common courtesy, consideration, and respect without discrimination.
Confidentiality
I undertake to keep my clients’ personal information in the strictest confidence during and after the services. I will not share any personal information or use it for any other purposes than the sole purpose of providing you with the services you request. I will not store personal information longer than necessary for that purpose. I follow the provisions of data protection law and the processing of Personal Data, and relevant acts and rules.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
For other workshops, courses, and events, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the start. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the workshop, course, or event starts, you will receive a credit you can use later on my website. If you do not attend or cancel within 24 hours of the start time, you will be fully charged and will not receive credit.
Reserved rights
If there is any problem, I reserve the right to exclude you from the event. Furthermore, I reserve the right to exclude anyone from any of my events, such as courses, workshops, or consultations, without giving a reason.
I reserve the right to change the dates of group classes and other group events.
All recordings of sound, images, photography, and filming during classes or any events are prohibited or subject to my prior consent.
Inability to perform
If I am unable to provide a scheduled group class, private session, or other in-person element of a course due to illness, emergency, unexpected circumstances, or force majeure, I will reschedule the affected session. If a rescheduled private session does not suit you, we will offer an alternative time.
If circumstances prevent the in-person course from being provided or completed, and a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, you will receive a refund for the part of the course that cannot be provided.
For online self-study courses, access is provided for the period stated at the time of purchase. If a technical issue on my part prevents you from accessing the course for a significant period, your access period will be extended accordingly.
Use of Content
All material appearing on my site, except as stated otherwise, is property owned, or used under license, by me or my business and/or associate entities. Any use of these properties or any content on this site is strictly prohibited except as provided in these terms and conditions.
Law and Jurisdiction
All my operations and services fall under Icelandic jurisdiction. These terms and conditions are subject to Icelandic law.
If a dispute arises from my services, the parties shall try their best to settle it honestly. If a settlement is not reached, the disagreement shall be settled before the District Court of Reykjavik (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur).
Ayurveda for Yoga Teachers – Private 1:1 Study
Programme duration and scheduling
Ayurveda for Yoga Teachers is an 11-week private 1:1 programme. The programme includes one private session each week and is designed to be completed within 11 consecutive weeks from the agreed start date.
As this is a private programme, there are no fixed public course dates. After enrolment, we will agree on a start date and a weekly meeting time that works for both of us.
Participant availability
Before enrolling, please make sure that you are able to commit to one session per week for the duration of the 11-week programme.
Rescheduling a session
If you need to reschedule a session, please give at least 24 hours’ notice. With sufficient notice, we will arrange another suitable time, subject to availability.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are considered used and are not refundable, except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of HAK Ayurveda & Yoga.
Completion period
All sessions must normally be completed within the 11-week programme period. Where a session has to be rescheduled, reasonable arrangements will be made to accommodate this. Any extension beyond the programme period must be agreed with HAK Ayurveda & Yoga in advance.
General Terms & Conditions for Card Payments with Þórdís Jóhanna Lareau
These terms apply to card payments made through Þórdís Jóhanna Lareau (kennitala 191076-3389). By ticking the consent box, you confirm that you have read and agree to them.

2. Payment and Currency
All prices are quoted in Icelandic króna (ISK) unless otherwise specified. Value added tax (VAT) is included in displayed prices where applicable.
3. Goods and Services
A description of the product or service is provided on the product page or in the payment description.
4. Delivery
Digital products are delivered immediately after payment or 24 hrs after payment at the latest.
5. Returns and Refunds
Consumers have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract under Icelandic consumer law (Act No. 16/2016), where that right applies.
For digital content, the right of withdrawal does not apply once delivery has begun where the consumer has given express prior consent to delivery beginning and acknowledged that the right of withdrawal will thereby be lost.

Refunds are processed to the same card used for payment, as promptly as possible and no later than 14 days after Þórdís Jóhanna Lareau has been notified of the consumer’s decision to exercise an applicable right of withdrawal.
6. Privacy and Card Security
Card details are processed through PCI-DSS certified acquirers. Þórdís Jóhanna Lareau never has access to full card details. Further privacy information is available in the privacy policy on hakayuryoga.com.
7. Disputes
If a dispute arises from a purchase, please first contact Þórdís Jóhanna Lareau. If the matter is not resolved, it may be referred to the Icelandic Consumer Agency or the card scheme’s dispute resolution body.
